Sara Rosenfeld – Real Estate Professional
I suffer from chronic discomfort in my neck and shoulders. I have sought help from chiropractors, acupuncturists, other massage professionals, and even my own doctor. My only relief comes from working with Eli Thompson. Eli has his clients take responsibility for their recovery by helping them understand their bodies through the Structural Integration series.
Every session is tailored to the clients’ unique posture and self care exercises are taught. I have referred Eli to many friends and colleagues who have agreed that he is the BEST! I believe that he has a gift and I am very grateful to have found him.
James Waldroop, Ph.D. Clinical Psychologist
Frankly, I was skeptical about the whole thing. I’m a scientist and thought it would be “New Age-y.” I was incredibly impressed by Eli’s professionalism, by the way the treatment was tailored to address my individual needs (nothing “off-the-shelf, everybody gets this” about it), and by how clearly he explained what he was doing (and why) and what I needed to do between sessions. I was –and still am– blown away by how much it helped me.

The Structural Integration sessions that I did with Eli Thompson have made a dramatic difference in my health and well being. I have renewed energy and vitality and even look younger. My friends and family noticed the difference immediately and I have recommended to everyone I know that they undergo the same treatment.
Steve Robins – Physical Therapist
Through Structural Integration, Eli was able to balance my structure and help me gain a sense of improved function, alignment, and quality of movement.
Deborah Gordon – Real Estate Agent
Luckily, I have chosen Therapeutic Massage and Structural Integration to be a part of my busy life. The reward of physical well being is immeasurable. Thank you, Eli.
Mark Swartz – Nationally Competative Dancer
Working with Eli has been a collaborative exploration. He helped me understand my injuries and regain the strength and agility of my former sports days.
Claire McManus – Pharmacist and Runner
I am a fairly competitive runner/roadracer and was looking for a therapist offering reasonably deep massage in addition to verbal feedback and advice relating to my sporting activity. With Eli, I found this holistic approach as well as a great attention to detail.
After a few sessions of deep muscle massage, although I couldn’t describe an overt change I did notice smaller and meaningful changes that translated into big differences. The first thing I noticed is that during a week of fairly intense racing, my muscles were unusually loose and supple before an event, so much so that I tended to run my first few miles of the race too fast. This is something that never happened to me before because I take so long to warm up! It was a nice problem to have, as once I “re-strategized” I had time to spend those first 2 miles concentrating on my form rather than on the pain of warming up. I have had massage before but I have never felt such an obvious physical effect afterwards and I can only surmise that the massage was beginning to reverse some anatomical trend that I had adapted over the years, just as Eli had originally explained to me. I also surreptitiously discovered that I could perform some yoga poses that I hitherto could not master and that overall my balance was better.
I value Eli’s expertise and insight as a therapist, his unassuming approach and I am grateful for his gentle yet effective technique and hope to start the Structural Integration series with him next.
Mary Kodner – Clients Mother, St. Louis
I am Mary Kodner, Robin’s Mom. I live in St. Louis, and have a friend whose daughter has scoliosis. Her doctor is recommending surgery. I have told her about the therapy Robin received from you for her scoliosis (Structural Integration), and what a difference it made. She asked me to find out if you know anyone in St. Louis. Before Robin started her therapy with you, I didn’t believe it could make such a difference, I am now a TRUE believer. Thank you so much for making the quality of Robin’s life so much better.
Ron Bentley – Associate Vice President, Berklee College of Music
Eli, Your Structural Integration sessions are amazing! Through this series, I’ve unexpectedly rid myself of a burning muscle pain in my upper chest/shoulder area that I’ve had for 15 years – from 35 years of playing a musical instrument in a crouched position. I even feel that breathing is easier.
My original goal of a better posture was reached early in the series and we went far beyond those goals. I’ve developed a sense of how to hold myself that feels so correct – a lasting body awareness and new habits.
Thanks so much. Ron Bentley

I am a middle aged lawyer, active and in good health, and have been a client of Eli Thompson’s for the past several years, seeing him about once a month for Massage Therapy. I “discovered” Eli when a close friend of mine recommended him very highly. After the first several sessions I was able to feel very comfortable with him and grew to trust in his Massage work – factors that are of paramount importance to me. Eli is a really nice, gentle guy in his early thirties. I really appreciated his strong, trained Massage technique and quickly learned to be an active participant (not easy for me) – and have always left the massage table feeling very nicely relaxed, less stressed, and much more in tune with, and aware of my body, and its own quirkiness.
In addition to my massage therapy with Eli, I have also participated in a very intense form of bodywork known as Structural Integration. This therapy took place over the course of eleven sessions. Structural Integration, in my own words, was a very deep, intense form of focused bodywork. During the eleven sessions, Eli moved over my musculo-skeletal frame with a very deep technique that has helped me fix, or at least become conscious of, some of my poor postural habits.
For anyone interested in Eli’s massage therapy, I cannot recommend him more highly. If you should need to contact me, please feel free to do so through Eli.
Lisey Good – Interior Decorator
It has been 6 months since I finished the Structural Integration series with Eli. My ankles are much better and more stable, my lower back rarely hurts, and I have been much more conscious of keeping proper positioning when at my desk, standing, etc. My neck still bothers me from time to time, particularly in periods of stress, but I’d say it is improved. Thanks!”
